Exhibition in Venice: Venetian Paintings from Bellini to Tiepolo
The event - From Bellini to Tiepolo: great Venetian paintings from the Sorlini Foundation - is held by the Correr Museum. It is open to the public from the 29th of October 2005 to the 26th of February 2006 from 10 to 17.00 everyday. This exhibition presents a rich selection of works from the numerous Sorlini Collection: fifty paintings from the XV to the XVII century, which are usually hanging in different family residences, have been reunited for the first time in one location which is accessible to the public. And this exhibition will form part of a wonderful itinerary spanning three centuries of art from Venice. The famous Madonna col Bambino by Giovanni Bellini stands out among the paintings on show, but however the exhibition offers lots more.
