Erotic museum to arouse Venetian public interest
Visitors will soon be able to enjoy a new sort of artistic treat in Venice. In February near to St. Mark's Square will open Italy's first Museum of Eroticism. Claudio Dell'Orso - curator said that it would play host to all forms of erotic art, including painting, sculpture, photography, literature, graphic novels, posters and films. And also there will be objects documenting the history of sexual habits over the centuries. For example, one of the floors of the museum will look at the activities of brothels in the Lagoon City up to the 1950s. Also there will be room for contemporary erotic art and exhibitions on specific subjects and artists. The object is to treat a subject that can cause embarrassment, in a direct, serious way. Will not be allowed in children under 18. At the start of the famous Venice Carnival in February will open the museum.
