Elton and David Honeymoon In Venice
In one of the most romantic cities on earth - Venice the world's most famous gay honeymooners spent Christmas. At their villa on Giudecca one of the islands of Venice's lagoon Elton John and David Furnish are staying. But they haven't been spending all of the time indoors. The couple took a water taxi to St. Mark's Square and went Christmas shopping in the city's ritziest shops. And they lunched at the famed Harry's Bar after shopping. Sir Elton and Furnish last week were among the first couples to take advantage of Britain's new civil partnership law. The couple was united in a ceremony at Windsor's Guildhall. In the days leading up to the nuptials John used the event to draw attention to homophobia around the world, criticizing countries like the United Arab Emirates, Jamaica, and Poland specifically.
