Heineken Jammin' Festival: rock Venice
Venice and the San Giuliano Park are getting ready to host June 14 to 17 the Heineken Jammin' Festival. The biggest rock event in Italy, now celebrating its 10th anniversary, is to move here from its historical location in Imola. Iron Maiden, Pearl Jam, Aerosmith, Smashing Pumpkins and Vasco Rossi in the 2007 festival are the most waited among the artists. Besides the Main Stage, where the leading artists are to perform against the backdrop of the Lagoon, two additional stages are to be built: one for newcomer bands and another for nighttime DJ sets. The public can also take part in the different activities offered within the park - and practically transforming it into a true and proper village. The Heineken Green Village is to offer various Areas: sports activities; the Beach Area with beach umbrellas, chairs and genuine sand; the Music Area, is for their who wish to begin playing an instrument; The Job Area – where you can check out the professions concerned with the music world, and the Community Area, where the public can enter and become part of the Heineken Community or other musical communities.
