Christmas in the Lagoon 2005 - Campo Santo Sfefano, Venice.
This occurrence will take place from December 3, 2005 to December 24, 2005 in Campo Santo Stefano. Santo Stefano Square is about to become a Christmas Village. The aims of this edition are proposing high quality handicrafts and also that of creating a meeting point for Venetians as well as tourists, to allow them to taste regional specialties while listening to good music and enjoying the atmosphere of Christmas. Organized by the Associazione Artigiani the market will be hosted in 30 small wooden houses, whose style is inspired to that of Northern Europe architecture. The variety of goods on sale is astonishing and allows for a wide choice of Christmas gifts and souvenirs: ceramics, handmade pottery, dolls, candles and Christmas decorations, original Murano glass, jewelry, masks, water-color paintings but also homemade sweets and fancy goods for the house.
